I'm ntgotbeats — a 23-year-old Tongan-born producer based in Auckland, making beats at the intersection of Afro, R&B, and West Coast.

Music's been there from the start. Dad was a pastor, so I grew up in a small Pentecostal church in Tonga with instruments in my hands before I could really talk — piano, drums, bass, guitar, ukulele. That musicianship still runs under everything I make.

The production thing started when my cousin came over from Australia with a laptop running FL Studio. I didn't know what I was doing, but I couldn't put it down. Moved to New Zealand at 17 and that's when it got serious — skipping school to come home and make beats, falling in love with the process. 2022 is when things started moving — working with artists in the studio, building real relationships, posting beats on Instagram and TikTok that started cutting through. 2023 I went deeper — engineering, mixing, mastering, recording — so I could own the whole sound, not just the beat.

These days it's full-time — anchored in the NZ scene but building outward, working with the artists shaping the sound here and connecting with collaborators overseas. The goal is simple: more placements, more reach, and the talkbox carrying the signature wherever the music lands.
